I am honored to welcome you all to the ASEAN Social Business Conference 2023, a platform dedicated to addressing the 3Zero’s that are crucial to our region's sustainable future: Poverty, Unemployment, and Carbon Emission. As the conference chair, I am excited to share with you the highlights of this event and the transformative activities we have planned.

First and foremost, our focus on poverty eradication is paramount. We believe in the power of social entrepreneurship to uplift marginalized communities, and that is why we have organized a dedicated workshop for the B40 group. This workshop aims to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and resources necessary to embark on their entrepreneurial journeys. By nurturing their entrepreneurial spirit, we aim to create sustainable pathways out of poverty and foster inclusive economic growth. In addition to our efforts in poverty alleviation, we recognize the urgent need to combat unemployment. We have designed a range of activities specifically aimed at addressing this issue. By connecting job seekers with potential employers and fostering entrepreneurship, we aim to reduce unemployment rates and create a vibrant job market within our region. Lastly, our commitment to addressing carbon emissions reflects our dedication to environmental sustainability. Climate change is one of the greatest challenges we face, and we firmly believe that social businesses can play a pivotal role in reducing carbon emissions.

I am delighted by the collective expertise and diverse perspectives that each of you brings to this conference. Through engaging discussions, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities, I am confident that we can generate innovative solutions to tackle poverty, unemployment, and carbon emissions in our region. On behalf of the ASBC 2023 organizing committee, I am honored and delighted to welcome you to the ASEAN Social Business Conference 2023. I would like to express my gratitude towards you all who sincerely contributed to this event in order to make it a success. This wouldn’t have been possible without the support of each and everyone present here.

We are here to support the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) in Malaysia. The objectives of this conference are to discuss on the environmental issues especially on the climate change, waste management and how to sustain on the eco green environment. On top of that, we are gathered to help our community achieve an overall development in all the sectors of society, it becomes very important to gather various supports for low-Income families reduce poverty, get ready with the micro financing to support their set up in social enterprise as well reduce the unemployment rate. 

I strongly feel that acting collectively is the need of the hour and uniting our NGOs for a common cause can work wonders. It is my most sincere hope that owing to our relentless endeavors, this conference will help our community make strong resolutions on how they can move closer towards the attainment of their goals.
